Chicken tikka is a marinated chicken breast or leg piece cooked on coal like tandoori chicken. Tikka is served with raita, chutney, tomato curry or a kind of condiment otherwise it will be utter dry to eat. Chicken boti is small boneless piece of chicken obtained from leg or muscle part. Once cooked through, remove from heat and serve with a flatbread and South Asian-style condiments.

  1. In a bowl add yoghurt,lemon juice,soya sauce, vinegar and 2 tbspn oil.
  2. Now add ginger and garlic paste, add tikka masala,green chilli paste,salt,red chilli powder, crushed coriander, crushed cumin mix everything well.
  3. Before adding chicken pieces just taste it and if needed, adjust salt and chili according to your taste.
  4. Now add the chicken pieces and mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. If you are short of time then 2 hours would also do.
  5. After the chicken is marinated, take out from the refrigerator and put on chicken barbeque rack, or thread the chicken in metal or wooden skewers.
  6. Grill them on coals, brushing with oil until done. Enjoy with Naan and chutney πŸ™‚
