To trim Brussels sprouts, simply cut off the stem end and halve. If they're large, you can quarter them, just making sure the Brussels sprouts are cut into uniform pieces so that they'll cook evenly. Cut the Brussels sprouts in half and roughly chop the bacon. Toss the bacon and Brussels sprouts in avocado oil to lightly coat them and keep from sticking to the pan.

- Drain steamed sprouts and add to skillet. Coat sprouts with oil thoroughly. Add balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.
- Sautee sprouts for 6-8 minutes, allowing them to slightly char/brown and caramelize.
- Serve immediately.
Lightly season with salt and pepper. Combine the glaze ingredients and whisk to thoroughly combine. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. In the same pan, saute Brussels sprouts and onion in reserved drippings until crisp-tender. Add the water, salt and pepper.
