- now add the water a little bit at first. then the rest.
- add meat ( side note: if you don't want to skim fat off top later I would cook the sausage down in a skillet for a few minutes and drain the fat. then add to pot)
- add spices and seasonings. these can vary to personal taste. some add cumin
- bring to boil then simmer hour at least 1 hour. if using raw chicken.. cook alot longer and take our chicken seasoning
- serve over rice. if out of rice egg noodles!
