- Once gravy is thickened to your liking, it's ready to serve. Garnish with more black pepper if you like. I don't add salt because there is plenty in the bullion cubes.
Gradually stir mixture into hot broth. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Place your biscuits into the oven to cook according to the instructions on the can. Pour grease out of the skillet/pan you used for the sausage, adding back in only what you want to use to make the gravy. In a medium saucepan, melt butter.
